Overpriced is a satirical, Stanley Parable-inspired title created by a four-person team for a "Pay-To-Win" game jam. In this project, we explored how far microtransactions could be pushed by making all progression entirely dependent on the in-game currency, "Face Cards." Try the game out yourself here!
Throughout the development process I worked on the level design of each section. I collected assets to add the the level as well as created my own. For each level, I wanted to make it consistent, but visually appealing and suitable to the theme. Since it was a game jam, this project was a chance develop a playable game in a constrained amount of time. We ended up receiving an award for "Best Audio Design", which was recorded by a teammate and me.
